What would Martin Luther King say to Malcolm X?

THE-MEETINGThey had very different approaches to civil rights, and it would have been a good debate if Dr. Martin Luther King had met Malcolm X just before Malcolm’s assassination.

That’s the scenario of The Meeting, a Westport Center for the Arts presentation on Saturday, January 26 at the Black Archives of Mid-America.

Kansas City actors Walter Coppage and Tosin Morohunfola adopt the roles of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X in an imagined meeting of the two civil rights leaders.  Set shortly before Malcolm X’s assassination, the two men discuss and debate their respective approaches in the civil rights movement.

The Meeting is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service Inc., New York.
