Residents of the Valentine neighborhood and Broadway business people are invited to celebrate Valentine’s Day in August at the Uptown Arts Bar, 3611 Broadway, on Friday, Aug. 14 at 5:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Valentine Neighborhood Association and the Broadway Westport Council and offers a chance for residents and businesses to get acquainted.
Businesses are asked to bring a door prize, some marketing handouts, and samples of food offered at venues on Broadway to share with the neighbors.
The Uptown Arts Bar will host and staff the event and provide drinks at happy hour prices plus complimentary water and tea.
The Valentine neighborhood includes the area from 33rd to 40th Streets and Southwest Trafficway to Broadway. The Broadway Westport Council is an association of businesses, nonprofits and neighborhoods that promotes Broadway Boulevard from Pershing Road to 46th Terrace, from Main Street to Southwest Trafficway.
