Two sought in early Tuesday morning robberies

Police said today they are still seeking two men who robbed Midtown residents Tuesday as the victims were leaving for work in the early morning.

The first robbery shortly before 7 a.m. was at 43^rd and Mercier streets, where the men in an older model dark vehicle blocked a vehicle leaving a driveway.

They then showed a gun and robbed the victim of cash, police said, and struck again about 10 minutes later.

In the second armed robbery at 38^th and Central streets, they bumped a car, pretended to assess the damage and then took money.

The men were in their late teens or early 20s, police said.
