Tenants sought for coworking space

This building at 1624 Westport Road is being turned into coworking space for tech startups.

Just down Westport Road from the Google Fiber space, startup companies have a new place for getting started and connecting with others.

According to a story by Fred Bauters in Silicon Prairie News, the (as yet unnamed) space is intended to support startup tech companies and to be run by them as well.

The group has moved into the space formerly occupied by Connecting for Good, which recently moved to 3101 Troost.

There’s room for five offices and also space for meetings and classes, which may be available to the community in the future.

It is intended to bring together people starting tech businesses who want to create a shared office environment.

Correction: The Midtown KC Post’s original headline on this story was inaccurate. Although there will be tenants at the space, they will not own the building.
