Troost Avenue is gearing up for the annual Troost Festival, dedicated to celebrating the diversity of the Troost community, tomorrow from noon to 9 p.m.
Organizers say this year’s theme “Being the Change”, is based on Gandhi’s observation that we need to be the change we wish to see in the world.
The festival offers a large variety of activities for children and families. There will also be drill teams, choirs, live music and performance art, and a screening the “We are Superman” documentary that focuses on the area around 31st and Troost.
