The school board wants to know what qualities you would like to see in the next superintendent.

At a public meeting tomorrow, you can join other community members giving input to the search team.

Superintendent Stephen Green announced in May that he would leave the district for a job in Georgia.

The school district has begun a search for his replacement and says input from staff, parent, student and the community is an important component of the process.

The public is invited to a town hall meeting 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23 at Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts, 4747 Flora Ave. Child care and light refreshments will be provided.

Stakeholders can also provide their vision for the ideal KCPS Superintendent by completing an online survey.

The town hall meeting will be facilitated by Ray & Associates, a consulting firm hired by the KCPS Board of Directors to conduct the superintendent search. In addition to the public meeting and online survey, Ray & Associates will gather input on July 22 and 23 with specific, invitation-only focus groups.
