Many people saw the fatal shooting of 6-year-old Angel Hooper and police want to talk to them.
Police and operators of the TIPS hotline announced Wednesday that the possible award amount is now up to up to $12,000.
That is after 7-Eleven contributed $10,000 more toward anonymous information leading to an arrest.
Angel was shot Oct. 17 at the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at 10615 Blue Ridge Blvd, where she had gone with her father to buy bubblegum.
As she and her father left the store, someone in a passing car fired shots.
The crime has left people outraged and looking for justice.
Mayor Sly James said at a recent press event: “Criminals are no longer just killing each other – they are killing our children. This nonsense must end.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Crime Stoppers Greater Kansas TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477 or by texting TIP452 and your information to 274637.
