Community discussion is scheduled around two more closed Kansas City schools. The school district’s repurposing office says it has received proposals for the reuse of the Marlborough school site, 1300 E. 75th Street and for the Ladd school site, 3640 Benton Blvd.

In 2013, two parties presented proposals for repurposing Ladd, but the district had concerns about financing and neither moved forward.

The district will host presentations from the interested developers. At the presentations, the development teams will be allotted time to present information about their redevelopment proposals and to take questions and comments from the meeting participants.

“This is a great opportunity for local stakeholders to not only learn about the proposals and to ask questions, but also to provide feedback to KCPS.  Stakeholder feedback will be an important factor for KCPS as it makes final decisions on pursuing the sale of the school sites, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to participate,”  the district said in its announcement.
