Midtown’s Rehabilitation Institute of KC (RIKC) is gearing up for its Ability Quest: Run, Walk, Stroll or Roll event this weekend.

RIKC’s works to help those it serves achieve more independence at home, school or work, and in the community. Its team of professionals provides the support, encouragement, knowledge, and skills needed to help individuals succeed in their rehabilitation process.

The Ability Quest is a 2 mile run or 1 mile walk that, in the words of RIKC, “gives participants the opportunity to celebrate the strides they have made with their friends, family and community. It’s less about a cause and more about accomplishment.”

All proceeds help fund medical rehabilitation for children and adults with complex disabilities.

“By supporting Ability Quest you will provide help and hope to those whose lives have been turned upside down as a result of a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke or neurological disorder,” RIKC says.
