bcycleLast week we brought you Midtown Kansas City stories about bipartisan civility, bike sharing, and a local band playing at Porchfest this month.

If you find any of that Midtown Kansas City news interesting, you can read more on our website or on Facebook (try liking our page to get daily news), or sign up on our website for a daily email news digest each weekday. You can also subscribe to our Twitter updates (@midtownkcposter).

U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) and U.S. Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-Kan.) – known for their bi-partisan cooperation and friendship across the aisle – are helping to launch a new Kansas City chapter of The Village Square.

The Midtown KC Post is helping BikeWalkKC get input from residents about where they’d like to see bike sharing stations in their neighborhoods. The bikes can be used for short errands or to get from one location to another. Please add your input.

As plans progress for Porchfest in the West Plaza neighborhood, we profiled the popular local band Maria the Mexican, which got its start with the grandmother of two of its members.
