Many people will remember last week for a long time, especially the record-breaking crowds that turned out for the Kansas City Royals World Series victory parade and rally. While many of the estimated 800,00 to 900,000 people who attended parked in Midtown and walked or rode buses, police said there were no serious incidents and only three arrests.

A task force reported that the Jackson County Corrections System needs some changes.

UMKC moved closer to raising the money it needs to build a downtown arts campus.

As part of our MidtownKC Walks project, we asked out readers to tell us about the sidewalks in their neighborhoods.

In our Monday history feature, we looked back at the corner of Southwest Trafficway (Summit) and 39th Street where a movie theater once showed popular Mexican movies.
