A new city council, including nine new members out of 12, took the oath of office and received committee assignments.

The city released its draft plans for transit-oriented development and asked the public for feedback on ways to encourage development along streetcar lines, rail corridors and MAX bus routes.

You are also encouraged to share your ideas about how to improve animal abuse and neglect laws.

The city got new grant meant to help communities nationwide enhance the use of data and evidence to improve the lives of residents.
