At city hall, the city manager unveiled a plan to spend $27.6 million to revamp 18th and Vine and link the area to the Crossroads. That came on the heels of the groundbreaking for a Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy at 18th and Vine.

And although he’s been dead since 1616, Shakespeare visited city hall, part of his birthday celebration.

The MGE project at 34th and Broadway moved forward.
