Police find KC drug dealer’s PCP

policeA drug dealer hid his merchandise, just not well enough.

A federal judge on Thursday sentenced a Kansas City man to 10 years in prison after police found PCP (phencyclidine) hidden in his rental car.

Jamel Jackson, 37, pleaded guilty in December to possessing PCP with intent to distribute.

According to a press release from federal prosecutors:

Kansas City police arrested him on Dec. 21, 2011 on a warrant for drug trafficking while Jackson was driving a rental car.

A search of the car found more than 128 grams of liquid PCP and four glass bottles with PCP residue in them.

After his arrest Jackson made several calls from the monitored detention unit phone system and mentioned the rental car.

“I could’ve sworn I hid them things in there,” he said.
