Residents gave input into the Prospect MAX bus line in October of 2013.

Many people have expressed an interest in Bus Rapid Transit, or MAX, service on Prospect from downtown to south Kansas City.

You can get an update on planning, design and proposed funding tomorrow, March 18, from 4-7 p.m. at Zion Grove Baptist Church, 2801 Swope Parkway.

The ATA says interested citizens will be able to view and comment on the proposed Prospect MAX route, including the downtown portion and the southern end of the route. KCATA will solicit feedback about the placement and design of both local bus stops and MAX stations along the route.  Local bus stops along Prospect may be consolidated and improved with the launch of MAX. The proposed TDD (Transportation Development District) funding mechanisms for the project will also be discussed.

Presentations will be made at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., and will include Kansas City Councilman Michael Brooks and KCATA General Manager Mark Huffer. The rest of the public meeting will be open format, where the public can ask questions and leave feedback at various information stations.

Customers who are unable to attend a public forum can also submit comments on the proposed changes through:
