Parents, has Longan School changed since 1940?

They just don’t make ponies like that anymore. Over at the KC Public Library’s website, there’s an online historical exhibit of kids in the Kansas City Public Schools. For example, here’s one photo of kindergartners at Longan School along with their teacher, Miss Laura Noyes. It’s not exactly clear when the photo was taken, but the school in the Hyde Park neighborhood was built in 1954. The school has now been sold to the Académie Lafayette, which runs a French language immersion school there. View the entire collection at the Kansas City Public Library website.
