Nominations open for most endangered historic places

luzier-cosmeticsIts time to start thinking about the most important historic places that might be in danger of disappearing.

The Historic Kansas City Foundation  has opened the nominations for its 2014 Most Endangered list.

All you have to do to submit a name is fill out the online form. You’ll be asked why you think the place should be listed, why it is significant, the urgency of the threat and potential solutions. Then you’ll just need to submit three photos of the place.

Last year, the foundation named: the Midwest Hotel at 20th and Main; the Poage-Arnold Farm at 9550 NE Cookingham Drive; the Victor Beuter House at 1311 Mainheim Road; St. John the Divine in Kansas City, Kansas; the Lane Blueprint Building at 1520 Main; the Knickerbocker Apartments at 501-531 Knickerbocker Place; the Country Club Plaza and Country Club Districts; the Disney Building at 1127 E. 31st; and Wheatley Provident Hospital at 1822-1826 Forest.
