Midtown group challenges residents to reimagine local schools

A group called the Midtown Community School Initiative is inviting people to a meeting Saturday, August 17.

The goal, according to its flyer, is “to re-imagine education in Kansas City.”

“For too long the lack of quality schools has weakened our community, and for too long we’ve waited for someone else to fix the problem. But we have an opportunity to bring community schools to Midtown, and we hope you will join the conversation by attending our community meeting,” they said.

At the meeting, the group plans to discuss the current situation, share its vision and ask for ideas and feedback.
