Man, woman charged is December rash of armed robberies in Midtown

A Kansas City man and a Basehor woman are charged in a series of armed robberies.

Terry D. Jacobs, 46, and Jayme L. Wilson, 26, were indicted by a federal grand jury on Wednesday.

Jacobs is charged with three robberies of Midtown businesses: The Burger King at 3441 Main St. on Dec. 22; the Family Dollar Store at 3726 Broadway on Dec. 21 and the Taco Bell at 123 E. Linwood on Dec. 20.

Both Jacobs and Wilson are also charged in the Dec. 29 robbery of the UMB Bank at 13813 E. 39th St. on Dec. 29 and that of the UMB Bank, 1800 Grand, on Dec 23.

Jacobs has prior felony convictions and is also charged as a felon in possession of a firearm.

There is also a forfeiture allegation which would require the two to repay $8,116.
