A Johnson County man is charged with two sexual attacks in Kansas City.
Damonte L. Likins-Osbey, 20, faces two counts of sodomy or attempted sodomy, rape or attempted rape, first-degree robbery and stealing, Jackson County prosecutors announced Wednesday.
From their media release:
The first victim said that in the early morning of Aug. 29, she left a diner and was walking home when she accepted what was to be a ride home from the suspect.
He took her to the Liberty Memorial, told her he had a gun and demanded sex. She ran away but left her purse in his red or orange Suzuki SUV, she told police.
Later surveillance video showed a man matching his description using her debit card at a Quik Trip in Roeland Park and a Walmart in Overland Park.
The second assault began late evening on Sept. 22 in Westport when the suspect asked the victim for a ride to his car nearby, pulled a gun and demanded oral sex.
He forced her to drive to a parking garage, where he sexually assaulted her, stole her money and ran through Westport.
Both victims quickly reported the crimes and identified the attacker from photo lineups.
