It’s time to nominate deserving folks for the city’s annual good neighbor award.
The award is presented each fall to recognize Kansas City residents who take pride in where they live and who invest their time and skills into their community, either in a leadership role or as a reliable volunteer, watchful resident or set of extra hands.
There are three ways to nominate a good neighbor:
- Contact the 311 Call Center at 311 or 816-513-1313
- Complete an online nomination form and email it to ncs@kcmo.org
- Send an email to ncs@kcmo.org with “Good Neighbor Award’ in the subject line and explain why your neighbor deserves the award.
The nomination deadline is Tuesday, Aug. 6. The nomination should detail the neighbor’s commitment to the environment, community, other neighbors and/or preserving the community for future generations. Include the name, address and phone number of both the nominee and the nominator.
The 2013 Good Neighbor Awards will be given out Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Kansas City United Against Crime Event. Last year, 31 residents received awards.
