Let’s help Midtown small businesses this holiday season

We’re encouraging Midtown residents to shop small and shop local this holiday season, including on Small Business Saturday tomorrow. One local venue you could try is Browne’s Irish Market at 3300 Pennsylvania, where you can find apparel, jewelry and home accessories as well as get an Irish breakfast or lunch in this historic building.

Tomorrow is “Small Business Saturday,” and the Midtown KC Post wants to do all we can to support the small businesses that make our part of town unique. And we need your help. Send us photos, emails and comments about the local shops, restaurants and entertainment venues you plan to visit and shop this holiday season, along with your thoughts on why other folks should support this local business.  We’ll share your input – that should inspire others to shop local and help make Midtown stronger.

Here are the rules: Tell us where you plan to shop or hold holiday parties or attend holiday entertainment events this season. Please make sure it is within the boundaries of Midtown, 31st to 55th, State Line to the Paseo. And tell others why they should support this local business or event.

We retain the right not to share anything that is too blatantly commercial, in poor taste, or doesn’t fit within the boundaries of Midtown, but otherwise, the idea is to inspire others to shop local this season.
