Last call for toy sculpture donations

toy-museumThe Toy and Miniature Museum is looking for lost pieces of Lego sets, Happy Meal figures, and  toy soldiers your family has loved but no longer uses.

The museum is planning to build a two-story toy sculpture and has asked the public to contribute any toys that can fit into the palm of their hands.

The collection began earlier this year, and wraps up on Sept. 30. The museum, formerly the Toy and Miniature Museum of Kansas City, is currently closed for renovations and preparing the sculpture.

Here’s the call for donations:

We are looking for toys in every color of the rainbow that can fit into the palm of your hand. Think of all those long ago separated sets of LEGOS, toy soldiers, action figures, dinosaurs, Hot Wheels, Happy Meal toys, game pieces… the list is endless. Your Beanie Babies could finally have a second life as a permanent piece of the museum’s sculpture.
