Kansas City is the coolest city to visit now, according to the Huffington Post.
It ranked the city above four others as the number one “it” city or “hep” city.
Ranker.com this summer rated Kansas City number 13 among the 50 coolest cities.
The new Huffington Post ranking does not even mention the rolling Royals and Chiefs.
“Kansas City is THE place to be,” it reports.
“Get to the Green Lady Lounge for some jazz, eat awesome BBQ at Q39, and don’t forget to check out the historic City Market,” the Post said.
“The food is amazing, nearly everything is affordable, and the people are nice,” it said.
The criteria for the new choice: “much map-scouring and a sprinkle of savvy.”
As for the losers, Richmond came in second, Charlotte third, San Diego fourth and Minneapolis fifth.
