Midtown residents can safely and sustainably recycle household hazardous waste on Saturday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to noon at 220 N.W. Metro North Drive, behind Metro North Mall at the Old Theatre.
Household waste items include:
- antifreeze
- car and household batteries
- oil (automotive oil, cooking and heating)
- paints and paint-related chemicals (strippers, thinners, varnishes and spray paints)
Also during that same time period, for Kansas City residents only, there will be an onsite dumpster for leaf and brush drop-off (use paper, not plastic bags), paper shredding services for confidential documents and a disposal site for tires, both with and without rims. Participants should bring proof of residency.
