Got ideas for transit services?

Buses and other forms of mass transit are basic infrastructure services that matter a great deal to everyday quality of life.

And the new Regional Transit Coordinating Council wants to hear input from people who care about these things.

The new council advises the MidAmerica Regional Council, the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority and local transit partners and jurisdictions on issues such as regional transit planning, priorities, coordination and implementation.

It’s holding a public meeting where you can provide input on Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Mid-America Regional Council, 600 Broadway, Suite 200.

At the forum, the public has a chance to offer ideas for improving the accessibility of area transit services, the expansion of regional transit services, and other issues.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to share your opinion or submit a comment or question, please email smartmoves@marc.org.
