Free immunizations as kids get ready to head back to school

With classes in the Kansas City Public Schools beginning on Monday, Aug. 10, the school district is offering free student immunization clinics tomorrow.

These immunization clinics are free to any school-age child. They’ll be run by the Jackson County Health Department in cooperation with the school district. Current immunization records are required of all students in order to enroll or register in KCPS. Families can use the guides below to determine the immunization needs of their children:

  • Recommended immunizations for children from birth to 6 years old – English, Español
  • Recommended immunizations for children from 7 through 18 years old – English, Español

The clinics will be held at:

  • 4 to 6 p.m. at Whittier Elementary School, 1012 Bales Ave.
  • 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Northeast Middle School, 4904 Independence Ave.
