For your calendar: Drug take-back April 30

The popular semi-annual drug take-back for Midtown is coming up on April 30.

MainCor teams up with the police department and the DEA to allow participants to safely dispose of unused, unwanted or expired prescription drugs.

Any drugs, prescription or over-the-counter, can be dropped off. The service is free and no questions are asked.

Organizers say drugs thrown into the garbage or flushed down the toilet can contaminate soil and water.

The event takes place April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the MainCor parking lot, 3215 Main (the southeast corner of Linwood and Main).
