The City of Kansas City, Mo., Animal Health and Public Safety Division, in partnership with Spay & Neuter Kansas City, will hold a free rabies vaccination clinic on Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 6-8 p.m. in Swope Park as part of National Night Out Against Crime, an annual event promoting public safety and community policing.

Pet owners who participate in the free rabies vaccination can take advantage of the City’s reduced pet license fee of $10.  Pet licenses accompany each vaccination and will be sold at the clinic.  Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier to participate.

“We are happy to partner with Spay & Neuter Kansas City to offer this free service to pet owners to help keep their pets healthy,” said Deletta Dean, assistant director of the Neighborhoods and Housing Services Department.

Spay & Neuter Kansas City provides affordable, low-cost spay and neuter services, vet services and vaccination for dogs and cats in Kansas City.
