Calling all would-be streetcar drivers

Ever dream of being a streetcar driver?

Here’s your chance. The Kansas City Streetcar Authority Operations team is hiring both drivers and mechanic/technicians, according to the streetcar authority’s blog.

Construction continues on the downtown streetcar starter line, a two mile route from the River Market to Crown Center.

Streetcar officials had hoped the first vehicle would arrive this week, but said on Monday it has been delayed.

The authority still hopes the streetcar route will be running by spring of next year.
