Buses are running with slight delays

This morning’s snow storm is leading to slight delays for Metro buses. According to the Area Transportation Authority, metro buses are currently using regular routes and running with slight delays. Metro and MAX are 6 to 9 minutes behind schedule. Longer delays could occur if road conditions get worse. Metro crews have salted roads and bus stops, and they are currently sending out snowplows.

The ATA also says the Share-a-Fare paratransit service is delayed up to one hour with the possibility of longer delays.   Customers with non-critical trips are encouraged to cancel and re-schedule. Share-A-Fare (SAF) is a transportation program that provides alternate transportation to persons whose disability prevents them from using the regular fixed route bus service.

The Midtown KC Post will update bus riders if there are additional delays or the snow toute plan is put into effect.
