The snow in Kansas City is affecting Metro bus service and several changes to service are being made. Here’s the latest from the ATA.
Metro Express routes and 175 will only offer the first trip of the evening, due to road conditions and extremely low ridership. This decision has been made in conjunction with the affected communities.
In conjunction with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas, Metro and UG Transit routes in Kansas City, Kansas, will end service at 4 p.m.
Metro buses are using the Snow Reroute Plan. This plan affects eight Metro routes: 31, 47, 51, 51X, 108, 109, 123, 471. The reroutes are common problem spots during inclement weather.

Metro buses are experiencing delays due to road conditions. Generally, routes in Kansas City south of the Missouri River are running about 10 minutes behind schedule. Routes north of the river are running 15 to 20 minutes behind schedule.
KCATA has activated Phase A of the Inclement Weather Plan for the Share-A-Fare paratransit service. Many customers may experience delays of 30 to 60 minutes past scheduled pickup times
