Tell us about sidewalks in your Midtown neighborhood

sidewalk-1We’re looking for your input and stories about Midtown Kansas City sidewalks. For a project called MidtownKCWalks, the Midtown KC Post is teaming up with BikeWalkKC and The Whole Person to understand how people feel about city sidewalks. We’d especially like to hear from you if you live in Midtown, have difficulty walking where you need to go because of the condition of some sidewalks, or if you have made a complaint to the city or had to pay to have your sidewalk replaced. If your block or neighborhood has great sidewalks, we’d like to hear that, too. Email Midtown KC Post editor Mary Jo Draper at mjdraper@midtownkcpost.com and she may contact you for an interview.

Sidewalks throughout the Volker neighborhood are in pretty bad shape – even on 39th street where there’s a lot of foot traffic. You’d think the city would want to keep at least the main corridors well maintained.
