Squier Park yard sale to help build playground

In addition to shopping for great finds, you can help the Squier Park neighborhood build a playground by shopping at its yard sale on Saturday.

The sale takes place from 8 a.m. to noon at 36^th and Forest.

The neighborhood had a community forum about a year ago and asked residents about what type of development they would like to see. The kids in the neighborhood drew playground equipment, which launched the fundraising effort to make that dream a reality.

The neighborhood hopes to begin development this fall.

All proceeds from the yard sale go to the playground project.
