U.S. marshals and area police are asking for public help in finding a fugitive believed to be in the area.
Robert Alan Burriss, 51, is wanted in South Carolina for kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
According to a media release today from Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers:
He went by the name Mike Ditch in this area and worked in maintenance at Village Complex Apartments in Overland Park.
He was last seen there Friday at 11:30 am.
He is 5 feet and 8 inches tall, 155 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He also often goes to adult entertainment clubs and is able to survive off the land.
Police think he might be living in a wooded area or camping, has many firearms and should be considered armed and dangerous.
In Lexington County, South Carolina, he allegedly tied, beat, strangled and threatened to kill a woman in March of last year.
