Residents invited to block party at 55th and Oak, Brookside

Residents of Crestwood, Blue Hills, Waldo, the Plaza and Brookside are invited to a party this Sunday, September 8.

The Second-Crestwood Block Party will be held on 55th St. between Brookside Boulevard and Oak Street from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The party will include a Caribbean steel drum band, food trucks, inflatables, a balloon artist, pony rides, a photo booth, and more.

The Second-Crestwood Block Party is being presented by Second Presbyterian Church and the Crestwood Homes Association.

Second Presbyterian Church has been part of the Crestwood neighborhood for nearly 100 years, and the Block Party is part of Second’s continued tradition of reaching out to friends and neighbors in the surround areas, according to a church press release.
