Life expectancy varies from 70 to 83 years across the zip codes of Midtown, and the health department is studying how to reduce the disparity.

One Stop Ministries, which works to reintegrate ex-offenders into their communities, was honored for its work and says it will open a transitional living home.

Our Uncovering History feature looked at the 3400 block of Broadway and Central, as well as the blocks of Armour Boulevard and 34th Streets between Broadway and Central. We’re still hoping to hear from people who lived in this area of Old Hyde Park and have memories to share.
