Race alerts for this weekend

runnersTwo scheduled race events are expected to impact traffic in downtown Kansas City, and in Kansas City’s northland on Saturday, Nov. 22. Road closures for the races are as follows:

  • St. Jude’s Give Thanks Walk | 9:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m.: The St. Jude’s Give Thanks Walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. at 13th Street and Grand Boulevard. The race will primarily impact sidewalks, with temporary road closures for crossings at the intersections of 13th and Grand, 9th and Grand, 9th and Oak, and 13th and Oak. Additional race information, including a map of the race, can be found online.
  • Kettle Run for Hope | 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: The Salvation Army’s Kettle Run for Hope benefit race will begin at 8:00 p.m. The race will impact traffic on N.W. 87th Street, N. Stoddard Avenue, N. Serene Avenue, N.W. Prairie View Drive, N.W. 87th Terrace, N. Dixon Avenue, N. Winter Avenue, and N.W. 86th Street. Additional race information, including a map of the race, can be found online.
