Parks department seeks input into community centers

The parks department wants to know what you like about the city’s community centers, and what you think could be improved.

It’s beginning a series of open meetings today around town, including one Wednesday at the Westport-Roanoke Community Center.

“The purpose of these open meetings is to obtain information to assist with improving service and program delivery of the Community Services Division which oversees community centers, athletics and aquatics programing in Kansas City, Missouri,” the department says.

The Midtown forum is Wednesday, May 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.  at the Westport-Roanoke Community Center, 3601 Roanoke Rd.

It’s free and open to the public. For more information, call 816-513-7500 or visit KC Parks website. www.kcparks.org.
