Since January, city planners and the Midtown Community have been working on a new Midtown Plaza Area plan which will recommend guidelines and strategies for development, housing, neighborhoods, economic development, transportation, capital improvements, open spaces, and urban design.
Now the city says the plan is entering a new phase with a second round of meetings that break Midtown into five sub-regions. Residents of those five sub-areas will be able to give specific input into the policies they’d like to see for the future.
Here’s the meeting schedule:
- Session #1: Monday, October 28th –< The Kauffman Foundation, 4801 Rockhill Rd. – Town Square Room. The North East Section which is bound by 31st Street to 43rd Street and Gillham Road to the Paseo from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Session #2:Tuesday, October 29th -St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 11 E. 40th Street. The North West Section which is bound by 31st Street to 43rdStreet and State Line Road to Southwest Trafficway from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Session #3: Wednesday, October 30th – The Kauffman Foundation, 4801 Rockhill Rd. – Town Square Room.The North Central Section which is bound by 31st Street to 43rd
- Session #4:Tuesday, November 12th -St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 11 E. 40th StreetThe South Brush Creek section which is bound by Brush Creek to 55th Street and State Line Road to the Paseo from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Session #5:Thursday, November 14th – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 11 E. 40th StreetThe North Brush Creek sectio which is bound by 43rd Street to Brush Creek and State Line to the Paseo from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
