New information on bus delays

Metro buses are running late and some trips have been canceled due to the weather conditions. Here’s the latest from the Area Transportation Authority.

Metro buses are currently using regular routes, but are running with major delays. The Metro is suspending schedules and will travel the routes at a safe speed. The Metro will provide an early trip and the last trip on the three commuter express routes, but will cancel other trips on these routes – 69X-Liberty Express, 152-Lee’s Summit/Raytown Express and 170-Blue Springs Express. (More details below). Customers are encouraged to avoid nonessential travel at this time.  When conditions improve, The Metro will work to get buses back on schedule.

Metro bus customers can contact the Regional Call Center at (816) 221-0660 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays to learn where their bus is and if the snow reroute plan is in effect.  Details of the emergency snow reroute plan are available at http://www.kcata.org.

Customers can track their buses using our live bus-tracking tool, WebWatch, at http://www.kcata.org/maps_schedules/webwatch/ orhttp://www.kc-metro.com/tmwebwatch/LiveADAArrivalTimes. A mobile bus tracker is available at http://itsab.us/tracker/.

All trips except for dialysis and return trips are being canceled for the day.  We are working to notify customers now.

Share-A-Fare (SAF) is a transportation program that provides alternate transportation to persons whose disability prevents them from using the regular fixed route bus service.
