Midtown/Plaza area plan draft to be presented

midtown-plaza-area-planHundreds of Midtown residents have come together over the past year to shape a new Midtown/Plaza area plan for the area from 31st to 55th, State Line to the Paseo. After much discussion, city planners are ready to present a draft plan to the public.

The goal of the plan is to recommend guidelines and strategies for development, housing, neighborhoods, economic development, transportation, capital improvements, open spaces and urban design.

Once finalized, the city says the Midtown/Plaza area plan will serve as the “plan of record” to coordinate policy for the area.

Public meetings on the draft plans are scheduled for later this month.
