A Kansas City nonprofit is offering parents several opportunities to learn more about the various public, private, charter and parochial school options available to them.
Show Me KC Schools will host a Parent-to-Parent Elementary School Fair on Saturday, February 27th. The group says parents place a high value on the perspectives of other parents, and this event will offer them the opportunity to share experiences.
Twenty-four local elementary schools will participate in Saturday’s event, including: Academia de Niños, Academie Lafayette, Academy for Integrated Arts, African-Centered Prep Elementary, Border Star Montessori, Brookside Charter School, Carver Dual-Language Elementary, Citizens of the World – KC, Crossroads Academy, Ewing Marion Kauffman School, Foreign Language Academy, Gladstone Elementary, Gordon Parks Elementary, Hogan Prep Elementary, Hope Leadership Academy, KC Neighborhood Academy, KIPP: Endeavor Academy, Notre Dame de Sion, Pathway Academy, Scuola Vita Nuova, St. Paul’s Episcopal Day School, St. Peter’s School, The Barstow School, and Whittier Elementary.
Another event, a New School Principal’s Panel, is planned for March 2. It will offer parents a chance to meet and ask questions of the school leaders at Citizens of the World – KC, KC Neighborhood Academy, Quality Hill Academy, KIPP: Endeavor Academy (elementary school) and Foreign Language Academy’s new Mandarin program.
