Every year, people who own rental properties in Kansas City have to renew or register with the city, and that time is coming up.
Annual registration paperwork is due with the city Neighborhoods and Housing Services Department by Friday, Jan. 31.
Annual registration of rental properties is part of the Rental Registration and Inspection Program. it is intended to protectt tenants and to ensure the city has ownership information in case of code violations or emergencies.
