The Women’s Employment Network has organized a job fair it says will include more than 30 area employers such as Bank Midwest, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City, Time Warner Cable, Kansas City Southern, and the Saint Luke’s Health System.

It happens Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel Crown Center, 2345 McGee Street.

This career fair will benefit Women’s Employment Network (WEN),but it is open to both men and women.

WEN is a non-profit organization that offers job-search training and resources, financial coaching, professional case management, and other resources to help women obtain economic independence through sustained employment. WEN is also partnering of the OneKC for Women alliance and is a local Financial Opportunity Center (FOC). Thousands of Kansas City women have received services from Women’s Employment Network, which has been serving the community since 1986.

“After 30 years, Women’s Employment Network continues to work to address the needs of job seekers and the Kansas City business community.
