Jazz star Ida McBeth is coming out of semi-retirement to perform at the Broadway Jazz Club, the Midtown club announced today.
McBeth will perform twice a month exclusively at the club at 3601 Broadway.
Her first dates will be April 19 (6 to 9 p.m.) and May 3 (6-9 p,m,).
She will play recorded songs from her 43-year musical career and those from traditional jazz musicians, the club release said.
McBeth said of her fan-base and the upcoming gigs, “I’m hoping they’re ready for me because I’m ready for them.”
