FREEBIRDS World Burrito opens October 25 in Westport

The first 25 guests in line at FREEBIRDS World Burritos on Thursday, Oct. 25 will win free burritos for a year. The self-described “fast casual burrito joint with a rock’n’roll attitude” is also conducting charitable events before its opening.

FREEBIRDS World Burrito   will take over the former Chili’s site in Westport on next Thursday.

The restaurant at 554 Westport Road will employ 60 local employees. In a press release, the company describes its offerings and unique style of service.

FREEBIRDS is about awesome burritos (plus tacos, burrito bowls, salads, quesadillas, nachos, margaritas and more) and freedom of choice. As guests join the queue, they are partnered with a team member, known as a “Roller,” who helps them choose from four sizes of burrito made from four possible flavors of tortilla. Burritos are hand-rolled with the guest’s personal selection from more than 40 freshly prepared ingredients including grass fed beef, hormone-free chicken, or all natural slow roasted carnitas topped with hand cut veggies, homemade salsas including the signature Death Sauce and Bad *ss BBQ sauce, queso and guacamole.
