In our latest fountain contest, the first person to send us the address of this Midtown fountain wins to tickets to the Jiggle Jam Family Music Festival over Memorial Day weekend.
We are starting the contests each Wednesday through May 8 to help call attention to the city’s fountains and to give people a chance to show off what they know.
About half of the 48 fountains in the city need repair and the City of Fountains Foundation is trying to raise $2.7 million to fix those in the most need.
Contest winners are announced on Mondays, along with a story on the history of the fountain.
Email your answers to mjdraper@midtownkcpost.com, along with your address so we can send you the free tickets, courtesy of the foundation.
Donations for fountain repair can be sent to City of Fountains Foundation, 4049 Central, Kansas City, Mo., 64111.
