Folk musician to perform in Westport Center for the Arts series

Folk musician Gerald Trimble will perform at 12:10 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1700 Westport Road, as part of Westport Center for the Arts’ Brown Bag Concert series.

Trimble will be playing a 17th century viola de gamba and performing a program of Celtic, Eastern and Baroque music that connects cultures and time periods

Trimble has recorded four albums of folk and Celtic Music and currently leads the group Gerald Trimble’s Celtic and World Music Sessions.

Concert admission is free, but donations are welcome. A complimentary reception, hosted by Cupini’s and Westport Coffeehouse, will be held immediately after the concert.

Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency, and the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City.
