One person is dead and a second is in critical condition after a three-vehicle collision during heavy rainfall today at Cleaver II Boulevard and Prospect Avenue.
According to police, a Dodge passenger car heading north collided with a Pontiac that was going west. The impact caused the Dodge to cross the center of the roadway, where it was struck by a dump truck headed east.
Four people in the Pontiac were taken to area hospitals, where one passenger died and another was in critical condition.
Initially the driver of the Dodge left the scene, but returned afterwards and was taken into custody.
